What Is Juvéderm?

How Does Juvéderm Work?
While BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes the muscles under a wrinkle, JUVÉDERM wrinkle filler physically fills the crease or line with a smooth gel mixed with lidocaine, a numbing agent for comfort. In addition, JUVÉDERM replenishes the skin's supply of a naturally-occurring moisturizer, hyaluronic acid (HA) that aging, sun damage and other factors deplete causing the skin to lose volume and structure. By replacing the skin's HA, Juvèderm restores volume and smoothes out the folds. Its unique formulation has made JUVÉDERM the only HA filler that has gained FDA approval for lasting up to a year with just one treatment.

Types Of Juvéderm
While all Juvederm fillers have hyaluronic acid, they serve different purposes in terms of cosmetic improvements. Most fillers are similar but can achieve different cosmetic goals. Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC

Juvéderm Vollure
Juvederm Vollure is most effective for the nasolabial folds. As well as smoothing smile lines and marionette lines. In comparison to other fillers, it can be injected deeper to smooth more severe folds. This adds volumes to areas surrounding the nose and mouth for up to 18 months.
Juvéderm Volbella
Juvederm Volbella is a soft and more natural-appearing filler. Containing hyaluronic acid filler will lightly add volume to your face. In comparison to other fillers, Volbella has a gentler and less thick formula lasting around a year. This is the perfect filler for someone wanting a more natural-appearing lip.

When Can I Return To Normal Activities?
